Education
Enriching Lives Through Education & Foundational Support.
Keep Driving Foundation is about enriching the lives of children through education and foundational support. The program is locally targeted, and classroom focused, enabling area schools to receive donations during the school year that directly impacts the students, the school’s facilities, and the teachers.
Why We Are Deeply Committed to Education.
Education plays an important role in equipping our youth with the essential skills, confidence, and resilience necessary to navigate the complexities of the world. The Keep Driving Foundation believes that education goes beyond academics. Education encompasses character development, social-emotional skills, and practical life skills. Together we are shaping well-rounded individuals who are prepared to meet the challenges of the future. We are committed to providing children with the education and resources they need to pursue their dreams and make a positive impact in our communities.
Education: Progress and Achievements so far.
In our first year as a foundation, we are proud to have donated an incredible $170,000 towards supporting education initiatives, benefiting 52 schools and education programs. Since the inception of our flagship program, Drive for Education, in 2011, we have been dedicated to making a difference in the lives of students, teachers, and schools in our local communities. To date, our contributions have totaled nearly 2 million dollars, providing crucial support and resources to empower the next generation. We are committed to driving positive change through education and are grateful for your support in helping us achieve our mission.
Our Partners in Education
Folds of Honor works to ensure that families who’ve sacrificed so much for our country and communities receive the education and opportunities they deserve. Whether it’s K-12th grade or higher education, they believe the cost of pursuing their academic dreams should not be an additional burden.
It began with Lt Col Dan Rooney’s flight home from his second tour of duty in Iraq. An F-16 fighter pilot in the Oklahoma Air National Guard, he became painfully aware of the realities families face when a loved one in uniform is fallen or disabled.
As his flight landed, the pilot announced they carried the remains of Corporal Brock Bucklin on board. Lt Col Rooney watched as Corporal Bucklin’s twin brother walked somberly alongside the flag-covered casket to meet his family on the tarmac. Among them was the deceased Corporal’s young son, Jacob.
Since that night, Lt Col Rooney has committed his life to rallying patriotic Americans and meeting sacrifice with hope through the Folds of Honor. Since 2007, they've provided life-changing scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled military. And now, their mission expands to the families of America’s first responders. On their watch, those who protect our freedoms and our families will know they are not forgotten.
