A NH Family started out the New Year with a new vehicle from Berlin City Auto Group. On Wednesday, January 4th the Keep Driving Foundation donated a nine person transit van to a New Hampshire foster family through their partnership with Berlin City Auto Group. The gift came just in time for the family of eight to be able to drive together in one vehicle to the courthouse to finalize the adoption of one of the four foster children in their care.

Jody and her husband Brian began fostering in 2019 after hearing about the negative impact the opioid epidemic was having on the foster care system. They have two children of their own and were fostering four additional children when The Keep Driving Foundation heard about their story.

“When we began our fostering journey, we had decided as a family to limit the children in our home to five. This was primarily because we have a seven passenger car,” said Jodi. “When we recently realized that one of our pre-adoptive children’s siblings needed a home, we struggled with what to do. We had the time and love to give, but we didn’t have a vehicle that would transport all of us if we took another child.”

The family decided to take in the child but struggled with having to take two cars anywhere they went as a family.

“When we heard the story of this incredible family keeping foster siblings together in the same home, we immediately went to work sourcing a reliable vehicle to donate to them.” said Yegor Malinovskii, President of Berlin City Auto Group. “Giving back to children and families in need is at the core of everything we do as a company, and we are so honored to have been able to help this family.”

“We are overwhelmed and humbled by Berlin City and the Keep Driving Foundation’s kindness and generosity. They have made this dream of ours a reality and for the first time as a family we got to take a ride of profound significance in one car. We will be forever grateful,"said Jodi.
