We are stronger when we work together as a community and we are honored to be able to do our part to give back,” said Yegor Malinovskii, President of Berlin City Auto Group.

The Keep Driving Foundation is proud to announce the latest recipients of their education and community-based grant program. The newly established Keep Driving Foundation is a non-profit organization that will further the mission of the flagship program, Drive for Education, to do even more to give back and support the local community. The $40,400 awarded this month will further contribute to the growing total amount donated to local schools since the program's inception in 2011.

Last week Berlin City hosted events in Portland, Maine and Gorham to present grant recipients with their grants on behalf of The Keep Driving Foundation. “We were thrilled to host students, teachers and community representatives in our dealerships to present these grants,” said Yegor Malinovskii, Berlin City Market President.

“It has been three years since we’ve been able to do this in person. A NH Family started out the New Year with a new vehicle from Berlin City Auto Group. On Wednesday, January 4th the Keep Driving Foundation donated a nine person transit van to a New Hampshire foster family through their partnership with Berlin City Auto Group. The gift came just in time for the family of eight to be able to drive together in one vehicle to the courthouse to finalize the adoption of one of the four foster children in their care.

Jody and her husband Brian began fostering in 2019 after hearing about the negative impact the opioid epidemic was having on the foster care system. They have two children of their own and were fostering four additional children when The Keep Driving Foundation heard about their story.

“When we began our fostering journey, we had decided as a family to limit the children in our home to five. This was primarily because we have a seven passenger car,” said Jodi. “When we recently realized that one of our pre-adoptive children’s siblings needed a home, we struggled with what to do. We had the time and love to give, but we didn’t have a vehicle that would transport all of us if we took another child.”

The family decided to take in the child but struggled with having to take two cars anywhere they went as a family.

“When we heard the story of this incredible family keeping foster siblings together in the same home, we immediately went to work sourcing a reliable vehicle to donate to them.” said Yegor Malinovskii, President of Berlin City Auto Group. “Giving back to children and families in need is at the core of everything we do as a company, and we are so honored to have been able to help this family.”

“We are overwhelmed and humbled by Berlin City and the Keep Driving Foundation’s kindness and generosity. They have made this dream of ours a reality and for the first time as a family we got to take a ride of profound significance in one car. We will be forever grateful,"said Jodi.
